Adam Peterson son of Donnie and Debbie Peterson Balsam Lake, WI passed away Sunday January 21st at the age of 25. Adam was diabetic and starting not feeling well on Friday, Sunday when he decided to go to hospital, he collasped and was taken by ambulance to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield, WI where he died shortly after of a heart attack. While most of us cannot imagine the loss of a child we can rejoice as Adam finds the answer to... "Surrounded by Glory, What will my heart feel?

Adam Eugene Peterson, 25, of Athens, WI, formerly of Balsam Lake, WI, died unexpectedly on January 21, 2007 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield, WI.

Adam was born April 5, 1981 to Donald and Debra (Ince) Peterson in St. Croix Falls, WI.  He was baptized at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Georgetown Township and was confirmed in the Christian faith at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Osceola, WI.  He attended Unity High School where he excelled academically and athletically.  In 1999, Adam graduated with honors from Unity High School and went on to attend the University of Wisconsin Superior where he obtained a degree in Secondary Education in 2004. Adam began his teaching career at Grantsburg High School. In the fall of 2005, Adam eagerly accepted a position teaching Middle School Science in Athens, WI where he quickly became involved in the athletic department.

Adam was an Assistant Coach for the High School Baseball and Football teams and was also the Coach for the Middle School Football team.  In the fall of 2006, he proudly accepted a position as the Varsity Boys Basketball Coach.  Adam truly loved being a teacher and a coach and was extremely proud of his students and his athletes. In addition to loving sports, Adam was an avid fisherman and hunter who enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. Adam is survived and will be deeply missed by his parents, Donald and Debra (Ince) Peterson of Balsam Lake, WI; sisters Errin Peterson (Joe Schleusner) and Allison Peterson; maternal grandparents, Betty and Eugene Ince; paternal grandmother, Edith Peterson; special friend Becky Balz of Athens, WI; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.  He was preceded in death by paternal grandfather, Alfred Peterson and cousin Zachary Ward.
